Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Beleaguered singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan telephoned Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik from India Sunday and "thanked him for providing help during the legal troubles over the past week", state-run PTV said.Rahat and his 16-member troupe was detained at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport Feb 13 for carrying $142,000 in cash and cheques when they were going to catch a flight to Dubai for their onward journey to Karachi. After undergoing thorough investigation for almost a week, the singer and his manager were fined Rs.1.5 million ($33,000) each by Indian authorities to have their passports and other documents returned."It has been a tough week for me but I want to thank you for standing by me during this time," he reportedly told Malik over the phone. He also lauded the efforts of Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Shahid Malik during his detention."I'll return to Pakistan anytime tomorrow (Monday)," he informed the minister. The singer is expected to reaching Pakistan at 2 a.m. via Dubai. In another development, Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho addressed a press conference in Karachi Sunday and called for "making a proper mechanism between India and Pakistan for facilitating the payments of artists working on both sides of the border"."I have been writing to the government for the last three years but there has been no response," she said, adding: "The governments in India and Pakistan always wait for a disaster to happen before starting damage control."Rahat has committed a mistake and has also been a victim of the system," she said while calling for "support for the singer at this crucial stage"."We must ensure that such a talented voice is not lost anywhere," she argued.Several Pakistani artists have been appearing in Indian cinema and television programmes while the singers from the country have particularly been a rage in India.Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan have given Indian cinema several hit songs over the last few years.Rahat was awarded the best singer award at the recent Filmfare awards function held in India for his song "Dil to bacha hai jee".With the cultural and showbusiness activities in Pakistan shrinking because of terrorist activities, the country's artists have found a bigger platform in India to showcase their talent.

Anurag slams Salman for ousting Abhinav from ‘Dabangg 2
Salman Khan’s 2010 blockbuster ‘Dabangg’ gave Abhinav Kashyap an opportunity to prove his directorial prowess and gave him the much need recognition and adulation. But as things seemed to get better and better for the debutant director, what came as a rude shock was his ouster from ‘Dabangg 2’.
Unable to bear the unjustifiable treatment meted out to his sibling, big brother Anurag Kashyap tweeted on his social networking profile Saturday night, “Salman Khan thinks he made my brother`s life. Hope he does the same for Arbaaz when he does 'Dabangg 2'. All The Best.”And this clearly indicates that senior Kashyap is completely miffed with the Khan brothers. Anurag also expressed his faith in his younger brother’s abilities. He wrote, Abhinav Singh Kashyap, you rock... I love you... Show them what you are made off."Arbaaz Khan will be directing the ‘Dabangg’ franchise. Buzz has it that during the making of ‘Dabangg’, the Khans had many differences with Abhinav over his direction skills. But when the flick turned out to be Box Office hit, the two parties sorted out their issues and teamed up like a cohesive unit at all award events. Confirming the news that Abhinav will not be a part of the sequel, Arbaaz wrote on his personal social networking profile, "Hey guys it`s true, I will be directing the sequel of Dabangg. Abhinav for some personal and professional reasons opted out." The Khan brothers did give a break to Abhinav but the Kashyaps think they have done injustice by grabbing all the limelight. Here’s a new chapter of enmity in B-Town. Can we expect the Khans and the Kashyaps to reconcile anytime soon?

Zor Ka Jhatka was shot in Argentina with contestants. Anchor Shah Rukh Khan, who is in Mumbai, will be shown as present on sets through use of special effects
Zor Ka Jhatka host Shah Rukh Khan wasn't present in Argentina, where major portions of the reality television show were recently shot.
However, he will appear in several sequences through chroma keying (see box). The star anchor will be incorporated on the Imagine show through use of the technology.
As such, certain segments that have been shot at a studio in Mumbai to depict face-offs with the participants will have his physical presence.
Actress-anchor Soumya Tandon, who shot on location in Argentina will be seen goading contestants to complete physical tests of endurance.
Says a source close to the channel, "Zor Ka Jhatka is a reality competition featuring various obstacle courses that were shot on location in Argentina.
The participants spent considerable time in Buenos Aires, where various international versions (of Wipeout, the original show name) have also been filmed.
Shah Rukh wasn't present on location. However, the chroma key effect will incorporate SRK wherever needed."
However, the channel feels "it is okay for the host not to be present during the obstacle trails. Even in some international versions, the host does his job from a studio.
The show's format lends itself to it as the anchor has to link the show from the sidelines."
It may sound strange on paper but we'll only know when we see the show which begins February 1 on a primetime slot.
Interestingly, B-Town stars who anchor reality shows on the small screen spent time on location with participants.
The names include Akshay Kumar (first two seasons of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi in South Africa) and Priyanka Chopra (third season in Brazil).
Bigg Boss has also had its various anchors (Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan) trudge every week to the Bigg Boss house in Lonavla.
Then again, Zor Ka Jhatka believes in being distinct!

Chroma Effect
The actor is filmed against a chroma key background and inserted into the background shot. The principal subject is  filmed against a background consisting of a single colour or a relatively narrow range of colors, usually blue or green because these colours are considered to be the furthest away from skin tone. The portions of the video which match the preselected color are replaced by the alternate background video.
The original
Total Wipeout is a British game show hosted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram. It first aired in January 2009. Each week, 20 contestants compete in a series of challenges in an attempt to win the cash prize. These challenges are based in large pools of water or mud and generally involve large assault courses that participants must cross. The show is a licensed version of Wipeout, the show that originated in the United States in 2008.
The Zor Ka Jhatka participants include...
Kushal Punjabi
Gaurav Chopra
Narayani Shastri
Karishma Tanna
